Sunday, December 21st, 2008Meena is a popular cartoon character in South-East Asia, she has been helping UNICEF promote social issues. We use one of Meena’s cartoons when considering female literacy- Meena isn’t sent to school. I can’t remember where we purchased the videos from…
Here Meena helps by promoting personal hygiene.
There are a number of English comic book versions of Meena online, but I like the foreign language cartoons, a nice way of getting students to consider the issues just from the interaction of the characters.
