Just had to say thank you for the 101 creatively simple ways to teach geography website. I have been enjoying it for the past 4 hours and have been inspired to take advantage of at least 20 resources shared.

Carrying on with revision, a nice range of revision ideas found via twitter from the Teaching Science blog, entitled Morse Code Revision, plenty of ideas that can be applied to geography. Also continued to develop my Itune revision resources, a short video of the development of a wave cut platform.

Picked up an interesting idea via @RobMarchetto on twitter for a prediction starter and plenary.

Also checked out the Guardian Teacher Network, lots of geography resources.

Reminded of the drag and drop macro for PowerPoint via my Twitter feed, I used it to produce a cross between a Question of Sport and Noughts and Crosses game for rivers. More detail on Deadgekko’s website.

Completing some work on youthful and ageing populations and came across the blog of Simon Balle’s Geography Department, found some useful case study revision notes ; adapted the Gambia notes for my own use, many thanks. Also going to use the Panorama episode Generation Game as an introduction to the issue of greying populations, which reminds me to use the Zimmers as a starter!

It has always been my belief that we are best when we discuss, collaborate and share, it’s the reason why I continue to share my practice, good and poor, and why I continue to fund these little projects each year for free. I also enjoy it
